ivi fandino
Ivi graduated from the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in furniture design. She has over 20 years of experience in design, specializing in lighting fixtures design, furniture design, and renovation design.
In 2005 Ivi founded Lightbulb Design Studio, a product design firm specializing in lighting and ceiling fan design. Previous to this, she worked as the lighting designer at Pottery Barn, a national home furnishings retailer. Her licensed designs have been sold both nationally and internationally, at national retailers such as Crate and Barrel and West Elm, as well as big box retailers. She also designs custom lighting.
Ivi and Nino started doing residential renovations in 2008, and as the projects increased, Fandino Design was formally launched in 2017.
“I enjoy using design to solve problems and find new ways of using space that are thoughtful, novel, unexpected, and coherent.
I have great respect for light and shadow. Lighting is often overlooked in the remodeling process, but when used thoughtfully, makes such a difference in creating a warm atmosphere.
Clients entrust us with their homes and investments. Homes are sanctuaries, with very personal histories. I enjoy learning about our clients’ stories and desires, and collaborating with them to achieve their goals.
There is nothing better than creating welcoming environments for gathering friends and family. I want to design the table, the room, the home where fond memories are made and treasured.
“I have especially enjoyed recent projects for multi-generational homes. It has been very satisfying to create safe but beautiful spaces that take into account aging and mobility concerns, so that families can live together with peace of mind.” —Ivi

“ I love making things better. I love problem solving. I also love seeing a project from beginning to the end – from the dreaming phase, to a firm plan, to overcoming the hurdles and challenges involved in seeing a project through, to marveling at how much a home can be improved in both use and aesthetics, and lastly seeing a client’s joy in their newly renovated home.” —-Nino
