south san francisco home: renovate to sell
a contemporary kitchen renovation
The project was originally conceived as a rental renovation. As the renovation progressed, the owner was interested in using it as a primary residence, and then ultimately decided to sell the property. The kitchen renovation added value and appeal to the property.
The original kitchen had an odd layout that made the space small and awkward. We decided to knock down walls which made the kitchen feel more spacious. We increased the amount of storage and installed new appliances. A new lighting plan was created. The use of the galley layout highlighted the newly installed sliding doors that lead to the new outdoor porch that overlooked the hills. The kitchen design also included a breakfast nook that could be used as a work area.
In addition to the kitchen, we created an interior and exterior paint scheme, designed a lighting scheme, specified light fixtures and living room finishes.
